Funeral, cemetery and crematoria professionals work closely with bereaved families. Understanding how people grieve and how to communicate with the bereaved will help funeral professionals provide families the support and service that is right for them. The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement offers comprehensive bereavement education programs for those working in the funeral, cemetery and crematoria industry to develop skills and gain confidence in supporting bereaved families. Our education aims to equip funeral professionals with an understanding of different types of grief and as well as practical tips on how to self care in seldom very emotive work.
